I become your server developer.

Two builds a month — a custom plugin, or your server website — made for your server and nobody else. Edits and updates to everything I build you are included, and so is the whole plugin catalogue.

Not an agency, not a freelancer you have to re-brief every time, and not a queue of tickets. One developer, on retainer, who already knows how your server is put together by the second month.

  • Two builds every month
  • Plugins or your server website
  • Edits and updates included
  • Priority support, one queue

One commissioned plugin usually costs more than a month of this

Commissioning a custom plugin the ordinary way means finding a developer, agreeing a spec, paying somewhere between a couple of hundred and a couple of thousand for it, and then paying again the first time Minecraft updates and it breaks. The retainer is the same work, priced by the month.

Commissioning it piece by piece

  • A separate quote, and a separate wait, for every idea
  • A new invoice when you change your mind
  • A new invoice when Minecraft updates
  • Explaining your server from scratch each time
  • Whoever is free that week writes it

On retainer

  • Two builds a month, no quoting round trip
  • Changes of mind are part of the deal
  • Version bumps are mine to worry about
  • I already know how your server works
  • The same person who wrote the catalogue

$150 a month is $1800 a year for a developer who is already yours — and it includes the 16-plugin catalogue that would otherwise be $7 a month on its own.

What the retainer gets you

What a slot can actually go on

Not “a custom plugin” in the abstract. These are the size of thing a month buys, and every one of them is something a server can grow on or charge for. Some take one slot; the ambitious ones take the month.

  • Both slots

A gamemode that is yours alone

Lifesteal where a kill takes a heart off someone. One block, where the world only grows when you earn it. Hardcore with a death penalty that actually stings. Not a config preset — progression, menus, scoreboard, reset cycle and the admin tools to run it.

  • Both slots

A store that pays you, not a marketplace

Your own storefront and your own payment processor, with ranks, keys and currency landing in game seconds after checkout and clawed back automatically on a refund or chargeback. Nobody takes a percentage of your donations for the privilege.

  • Both slots

A season that ends and restarts itself

Scheduled resets on a fresh world, leaderboards archived rather than deleted, rewards paid out without you doing it by hand, and cosmetics that carry across while progress does not. A reason to come back in three months instead of drifting away.

  • One slot

Bedrock players who get real menus

If a good share of your players are on phones and consoles, typing commands into chat is quietly costing you them. Native Geyser forms — buttons, dropdowns, sliders, text fields — over the systems you already run.

  • One slot

Discord and your server, properly wired

Account linking that actually proves who someone is, ranks and roles synced both ways, staff commands you can run from a phone, and reports that open in Discord and close in game.

  • Both slots

Custom items with behaviour, not just names

Weapons, armour sets and tools that do things vanilla cannot, with the models and textures to match, packaged into a resource pack that serves itself — and converted so your Bedrock players see them too rather than a floating stick.

  • Both slots

One economy across every server you run

One balance, one set of vaults, one auction house, shared across a whole network on a real database — and built to survive the duplication bugs you get free with doing that badly.

  • Both slots

    Your own client mod

A Fabric companion mod for the players who install it: server-specific HUD, waypoints, quest tracking, interfaces the vanilla client simply cannot draw. The furthest thing from a config file on this list, and the hardest to copy.

  • One slot

    The plugin nobody sells

The idea you gave up on because nothing on SpigotMC does it, and the one thing that nearly did was abandoned four Minecraft versions ago. That is not a side benefit of this arrangement — it is the entire point of it.

Also on the list

  • custom world generation to a brief
  • per-chunk lag forensics that name the real culprit
  • dupe detection that catches the exploit, not the aftermath
  • quests, battle passes and crate systems
  • a full staff, punishment and reporting suite
  • migrations off a plugin that has been abandoned

None of these are hypothetical categories — they are the kinds of system the 16 plugins in the catalogue already are, built one at a time by the person you would be hiring. If what you want is not on this page, describe it in Discord and I will tell you honestly whether it fits in a month.

And what it is not, before you pay rather than after

Most bad freelance arrangements start with a promise nobody bounded. These are the three things this retainer does not do, said plainly here so nothing has to be argued about later.

  • Fixing other people’s plugins

I do not support, patch, debug or maintain third-party plugins — not ones you bought elsewhere, not free ones, not abandoned ones. If something of mine has to live alongside one, I will make mine cooperate. The other developer’s code stays theirs.

  • General server administration

I am not your host, your sysadmin or your staff team. Configuring an existing setup, moderating players and chasing your hosting provider are not what this is.

  • Rescuing a server that is already broken

If your server is on fire because of software I did not write, hire someone for that job. This is a retainer for building new things well, not for triage.

If a third-party plugin is simply the wrong tool for what you want, that is a different conversation and a happy one — I will build you a replacement with one of your slots, and then it is mine to keep working.

How a month actually goes

There is no onboarding call, no discovery phase and no statement of work. You describe what you want in Discord and it gets built.

  1. 1

    You describe it

In Discord, in plain English. Not a spec document — “I want players to be able to X” is enough to start from.

  2. 2

I tell you the shape, and the cost in slots

What it will do, what it will not, and whether it is one slot or two. Before I start, not after.

  3. 3

You get a build to test

On your test server, with config and permissions documented, while there is still time to change your mind.

  4. 4

It ships, and then it stays working

Fixes and version bumps are mine for as long as you hold the retainer, and it keeps running permanently even if you stop.

You can read the work before you buy any of it

The strongest thing I can say about custom work is that the public catalogue was built the same way, by the same person. 16 plugins are in the store right now, each with real documentation, a full command and permission reference, and a changelog. Go and judge them.

3 of 3 places are still open

Two builds a month each is real work and there is one of me, so the retainer stops at 3. When they are gone the checkout says so and stops — it does not oversell, and it does not put you in a queue you paid for.

Month to month. Cancel yourself from your account page in one click, and everything already built for you keeps running permanently.

Questions

Not sure it is the right fit? Ask before you pay — I would rather turn work down than take a retainer I cannot serve.
